Three
of
SAFA's
instructors
could
not
bear
to
see
all
of
Attila's
hard
work
and
passion
die
with
the
unfortunate
and
sad
closing
of
SAFA
in
Oyster
Bay.
Therefore,
these
instructors
(Pat
Lind,
Jennifer
Vomvas
and
Laura
Freeze)
are
honoring
SAFA's
founder,
Attila
Hejja,
at
the
Art
League
of
Long
Island
(ALLI)
in
Dix
Hills,
by
continuing
to
teach
the
painting
program
he
developed.
The
Stevenson
Academy
Program
at
the
Art
League
of
Long
Island
continues,
albeit
as
a
separate
entity,
with
the
same
drawing
and
painting
program
and
quality
instruction,
attention
and
support
that
students
have
come
to
expect
from
the
Stevenson
Academy.
We
will
never
compromise
Attila's
high
standard
of
excellence.
We
are
so
happy
that
many
former
SAFA
students
have
joined
us
at
ALLI.
Thank
you
for
your
support.
We
always
welcome
former
SAFA
students.
If
you
have
an
unfinished
painting
that
you
started
at
SAFA
in
Oyster
Bay,
you
can
finish
it
with
us
at
ALLI.
We
have
taken
all
the
props
and
equipment
from
Oyster
Bay
to
ALLI
so
you
can
pick
up
where
you
left off,
even
if your painting is dry. We
teach
all
levels
from
beginner
and
beyond,
and
advanced
students
can
work
on
independent
projects.
Inaddition,
ALLI
offers
hundreds
of
courses
in
sculpture,
watercolor
painting,
plein-aire
painting,
ceramics,
portfolio
prep,
pastels,
printmaking,
etc.,
all
taught
by
professional
artists.

The
Stevenson
Academy
instructors
are
extremely
grateful
to
the
Art
League
of
Long
Island
for
their
generous
support
and
for
making
us
feel
welcome
in
our
new
home. The
Art
League
of
Long
Island is
the
oldest
and
largest
art
league
on
Long
Island.
They
have
an
incredibly
beautiful,
two-story
gallery,
spacious
classrooms
and
a
wide
selection
of
classes,
workshops,
exhibits,
lectures,
museum
tours,
fine
art
and
craft
shows. Click

gorgeous
facility.
The
gallery
and
classrooms
are
located
at
exit
42N
off
the
Northern
Parkway;
just
15
minutes
from
the
old
SAFA
building
in
Oyster
Bay.
